Welcome to Pastoral Care Training Course
People in all societies and at all times have experienced emotional or psychological distress and behavioral disorders, however, counselling and psychotherapy have become widely available to people in Today’s society.
Counselling in the 21st century has evolved due to the shifts in attitudes in society, especially towards family values, religion and science. Although several counselling techniques are available, there are two generally accepted approaches to counselling. These two views, secular and Christian, depend on the position or world view of the counsellor.
This course is designed to help you understand the nature of Christian counselling and how you can be effective in helping people with problems.
The course runs for 10 months
Starts Saturday 25th September 2010
